Philip. Laurencelle has more than 25 years of experience in various industrial sectors related to recycling and waste treatment. In 1997, he began his career by founding a service for the collection of recyclable materials from industries, companies and institutions (Le Consortium Écho-Logique). Along with the management of this company, he continued his university studies in engineering.

During his studies, he developed, with the help of his professors, a process for recovering the nutrients (NPK) contained in the digestates of fish feces which would later be the spark for the foundation of Bioénertek .

In 2013, within Bioénertek , he focused his activities on the development of biomethanation and composting projects. He signs agreements with European manufacturers (BEKON and the Eggersmann group). In 2013, he led his first projects in Quebec by participating in the design of a sewage sludge digestion plant in Saint-Hilaire. In 2014, he took part in the construction of a first factory in Mexico in the state of Sinaloa. Since then, he has been recognized as one of the few North American experts in dry digestion. Since then, its project portfolio has expanded to include projects in the United States (Santa Barbara, California), Linares ( Nuevo León, Mexico), Montreal (Quebec, Canada), Zamora (Michoacán, Mexico). Recently, within Bioénertek , he began the development and construction of his own biogas plant in Quebec in an agricultural environment.
